1. Tell us a little about yourself! Who is Yvonne in three words?
I’d describe myself as an athletic, travel-loving, and driven person.
I love sports and I’m always looking for my next adventure. I enjoy discovering new places, experiencing different cultures, and making unforgettable memories wherever I go. I always set myself new goals and give my best to achieve them.
2. You’re always chasing your next adventure. What is it about action sports and the outdoors that makes you feel so alive?
For me, action sports and the outdoors go hand in hand. They give me a clear mind, a sense of peace, and an incredible feeling of freedom. I love pushing myself physically and ending the day feeling accomplished. Whether I’m on the water or standing on a mountain looking out over the landscape, I love the space, the quiet, and the feeling of being completely present in the moment.
3. You’ve tried so many different sports. Which ones have stolen your heart the most, and why?
Definitely windsurfing, without a doubt. The feeling of freedom when you’re gliding across the water at high speed is something no other sport has ever given me. It’s a feeling that’s truly unique. The second one would be gymnastics. I love learning new skills, pushing my limits, and training with friends. Trying new things together is always so much fun. I’ve been doing both sports since I was a little kid, and they’ve both had a special place in my heart ever since.
4. If you could spend an entire day outside, what would it look like?
It depends on the season! In winter, my perfect day would be spending the whole day skiing until the last lift, followed by a cozy dinner in the mountains.
In summer, I love combining the mountains and the water. I’d start the day with a hike, cool off with a swim afterwards, and finish the day with a sunset windsurfing session in strong wind and flat water. That’s pretty much my perfect day.
5. Have you ever been to Surf Club Keros or Limnos before? What are you most excited to experience during your visit?
No, I haven’t been there yet, so I’m really excited to experience it for the first time. I’m most looking forward to meeting new people, spending lots of time on the water together, and simply having an amazing week full of fun, good vibes, and unforgettable memories.
6. We all know Lilly is the competitive one… 😄 Who’s actually more adventurous when you’re together?
I’d say Lilly is definitely the more adventurous one. I think we’re the perfect team because we always push each other to try new things and become better. Lilly is more outgoing, while I’m a bit calmer and more thoughtful. Our different personalities complement each other perfectly, and I think that’s what makes us such a great team.
7. What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done that made you think, “Okay… maybe that was a little too much”?
Probably attempting a double backflip off a cliff in Croatia. I didn’t quite make the second rotation and ended up landing on my face and stomach. Looking back, it probably wasn’t my best idea – nevertheless it was fun!
8. Bikini Tribe is all about trying new things and meeting amazing women. What made you want to be part of it?
I think it’s really cool that camps like Bikini Tribe bring together girls who share the same passion for watersports. It’s a great opportunity to meet amazing people, spend an unforgettable week on the water together, and learn from each other while sharing experiences.
9. Many girls think watersports are intimidating. What would you say to someone who’s nervous about trying one for the first time?
There’s nothing more beautiful than spending time on the water with friends, gliding over the sparkling sea and feeling completely free. Learning a watersport can be challenging at first, but every fall and every tough practice session is absolutely worth it. Once it clicks, you’ll never regret giving it a try.
10. What’s your favourite way to spend time on the water: wingfoiling, surfing, wakeboarding, SUP, or something else?
I’ve already tried quite a few watersports, including windsurfing, wingfoiling, pump foiling, waterskiing, and SUP. I’d also love to learn wakeboarding and kitesurfing in the future. Out of all of them, windsurfing is definitely my favorite, especially when there’s strong wind, flat water, and crystal-clear turquoise water. I also love wingfoiling, especially learning and trying new tricks together with Lilly.
11. If you could inspire every girl joining Bikini Tribe with one message, what would it be?
Just go for it! The best part isn’t just learning a new sport—it’s the amazing moments you’ll share with friends and other girls who have the same passion for being on the water. Those memories, the laughs, and the feeling of freedom are absolutely worth every challenge along the way.
