  1. For everyone meeting you for the first time… who is Lilli Higgins in three words?

I would describe myself as adventurous, goofy, and intentional. I don’t take myself seriously and would rather be outspoken and make connections than keep to myself!

  1. You’re our very first Bikini Tribe Ambassador from the USA! How does that feel?

Ecstatic!! I feel so lucky and honored to have been chosen and cannot WAIT to explore and connect with so many amazing women from all over the world.

  1. You spend your winters teaching skiing and your free time exploring mountains. What made you say “Yes!” to swapping snow for the Aegean Sea this summer?

I’m all about saying yes to new experiences and learning new skills. Combine that with the beauty and history of Greece and how could I resist?! Plus, I’m a sucker for sunrises and sunsets at the beach. Shaking things up is the best way to feel energized, explore new worlds, and open even more hobbies for me to chase.

  1. Besides learning watersports, what’s on your Greek bucket list? Dreaming of eating way too much feta, chasing sunsets, exploring hidden beaches… or maybe making a few Greek friends along the way? 🇬🇷☀️

All of the above! I’d love to wander around some museums, spend as much time as humanly possible in the water, and try every food I can get my hands on. I’ve never had the chance to explore Greece but have a feeling this won’t be the last!

  1. Be honest… before Bikini Tribe, what did you know about wingfoiling, windsurfing or kitesurfing?

Other than watching in awe, I’ve never had the chance to try any of them! As someone who grew up in a landlocked area I’m always amazed at the way surfers manage to fly through the air (and come back down!).

  1. You’re coming to Bikini Tribe with zero watersports experience. Does that excite you… or scare you a little?

It definitely excites me more than it scares me! I’m ready for tons of wipeouts and some anxiety as I learn but as a ski instructor I always tell my first time skiers that being a bit anxious, nervous, or scared is all a part of trying something new. Bring on the nerves!!

  1. As a ski instructor, you’re normally the one teaching others. What’s it like becoming the complete beginner for once?

Honestly, I’m stoked! I love being new at something, getting to ask a million questions, and getting to learn from and hear the stories of those who are pros. It’s almost like stepping into an entirely new world and it’s so special to learn from people who care so much about learning and adventuring outdoors.

  1. Which do you think will be harder: learning to ski… or learning to fly over the water? 😄

Definitely flying over water!! I’m still not entirely sure how I’ll manage to come back down to the water but I suppose I’ll be learning really soon!

  1. What’s the first thing you want to try at Surf Club Keros?

Wingfoiling

Windsurfing

Kitesurfing

SUP

Anything that floats!

Honestly, whatever I can get my hands on! I might have to say windsurfing as I used to watch the locals windsurf every morning when I lived by the beach in Florida and always wondered what it would be like to learn. It’s crazy to know that will be me and the rest of the tribe soon!

  1. Apart from the sports, what are you looking forward to most during Bikini Tribe?

Building a community. Being in a space for women who are passionate about spending time outdoors, meeting others from all over the world, and putting themselves out there is a really unique environment. It can be easy to get lost in the day-to-day of our own lives and I believe shaking things up, becoming the beginner again, and being vulnerable can change anyone’s perspective. Mix in the views, locals, food, and history of Greece and I’m sold!

  1. If your Bikini Tribe week had a movie title, what would it be?

Wipeouts and Feta at Sunset (Season 1)

  1. Finish this sentence:

Adventure is… being vulnerable, taking chances, and being open to learning and rolling with the punches.

  1. What would you say to someone who’s been thinking about joining Bikini Tribe but is worried they’re “not sporty enough”?

No such thing! If you’re excited to learn, willing to take a chance, and ready to wipe out alongside me then you’re sporty enough!

  1. Finally… when can everyone meet you at Bikini Tribe?

(Which week will you be joining us, and why should other girls come and share this adventure with you?)

I will be in stunning Limnos from September 4 through September 11th for the  Bikini Tribe and would LOVE  to see you there! I’m looking forward to a week of connecting, new experiences, insane food, and memories I know we’ll never forget.
