Surf Club Keros Hosts World Hellenism Delegation in Limnos and Highlights Aegean Riders Youth Camps as a Model for Diaspora Engagement
Limnos, Greece | 13–14 January 2026 — Surf Club Keros had the honor of welcoming representatives of the World Interparliamentary Union of Hellenism (Παγκόσμια Διακοινοβουλευτική Ένωση Ελληνισμού) to the island of Limnos during an official two-day visit on 13 and 14 January 2026.
The visit marked an important moment for Limnos and for Surf Club Keros, as discussions focused on strengthening ties between Greek youth of the diaspora and their homeland through education, culture, sustainability, and experiential learning.
Delegates met with local authorities and stakeholders, toured Surf Club Keros’s facilities, and explored how initiatives such as the Aegean Riders Youth Camps can serve as a contemporary model for reconnecting young Greeks abroad with their cultural identity through meaningful participation rather than passive tourism.
Official Meetings, Cultural Visits & Commemoration
As part of the official program, an official dinner was held in Limnos with members of the World Interparliamentary Union of Hellenism and the Mayor of Limnos, reinforcing collaboration between local government and international Hellenic institutions.
The delegation also paid a visit to the ANZAC Cemetery, one of Limnos’s most significant historical landmarks, honoring the island’s role in global history and underlining the importance of remembrance, shared heritage, and international connection — values that are also central to the philosophy of Surf Club Keros and its youth programs.

Aegean Riders: A Flagship Youth Camp for Greek Teens Worldwide

Why Aegean Riders Matters

The visit of the World Interparliamentary Union of Hellenism on 13–14 January 2026 reinforced the value of initiatives that engage diaspora youth in authentic, place-based experiences — strengthening bonds with Greece while empowering the next generation.
