- Tell us a little about yourself! What’s your hometown and who are your sponsors?
Hi! I’m Lilly, I’m from Salzburg, Austria. Even though I live in Austria, my home spot is Lake Garda in Italy. I’m proud to be part of the RRD (Roberto Ricci Designs) international team.
- How did you first discover wingfoiling, and what made you fall in love with it?
I discovered wingfoiling through my friends. To be honest, I didn’t like it at all the first time I tried it. But I didn’t give up, and the more I rode, the more I fell in love with it. Now I can’t imagine my life without it the feeling of flying above the water is simply incredible.
- How long have you been wingfoiling, and when did you decide to start competing?
I first tried wingfoiling a few times at the end of 2024, but I only started training seriously around Easter 2025.
In summer 2025, I signed up for the World Cup in Fuerteventura just for fun. I honestly didn’t expect much, but I got accepted, had an incredible experience, and that’s when I decided I wanted to compete in more events.
- What has been your proudest competition result so far?
So far, my proudest result has been finishing 7th at the GWA World Cup in Tarifa. It was an unforgettable experience and gave me even more motivation to keep improving.
- As an RRD rider, what’s your favourite setup? (Board, wing and foil!)
Good question! I absolutely love my 45L Beluga board. I usually pair it with the Spinner Pro 530 because I love freestyle, and my favourite wing is definitely my 4.5m Evolution Gold Wing. It’s the setup I feel most confident and comfortable with on the water.
- Have you ever heard of Surf Club Keros and Limnos before? What are you most looking forward to during your visit?
Honestly, I hadn’t heard about it before, but now I’m even more excited!
I’m looking forward to spending an amazing week on the water, improving together, meeting lots of new people, and having fun sessions with everyone. I think the community is going to be the best part.
- You’re the youngest Bikini Tribe ambassador we’ve ever had! How does it feel to inspire girls your own age to get into watersports?
It honestly feels amazing. Inspiring other girls is exactly what I’ve always wanted to do.Watersports have given me so many unforgettable experiences, amazing friendships, and so much confidence. If I can inspire even one girl to give wingfoiling a try, that would make me incredibly happy.
- Why do you think more girls should give wingfoiling a try?
Because it’s so much fun and much easier to learn than many people think.
Once you’ve learned the basics, there are so many different paths you can take—freestyle, freeride, freefly, racing or waves. There’s really something for everyone, and that’s what makes wingfoiling so special.
- Besides wingfoiling, what other watersports do you enjoy?
I grew up windsurfing, and it will always have a very very special place in my heart.
And of course, once I got into wingfoiling, I had to try pump foiling too! It’s challenging, but it’s the perfect way to stay on the water even when there’s no wind.
I also started surfing on a small river wave in my hometown. I’m definitely still learning, but I have so much fun doing it.
- Where do you see yourself in the next few years? Any dreams when it comes to competition, travelling or your future career?
In the next few years I’ll have finished my Higher Technological College and be starting university.Alongside my studies, I definitely want to keep training and travelling as much as possible. My dream is to explore new spots all over the world, meet inspiring people and simply spend as much time on the water as I can.
And fot competitions… I’ll keep working hard and see where the journey takes me. That’s the exciting part.
- What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a girl who’s thinking about trying wingfoiling for the very first time?
Just go for it!
Everyone starts as a beginner, and you’ll be surprised how quickly you improve. Don’t be afraid of falling that’s part of the fun. Before you know it, you’ll spend more time smiling than swimming!
- Quick fire! Early morning session or sunset session? Flat water or waves? Summer or winter?
Definitely sunset sessions, flat water, and summer every single time!
- Finally, which Bikini Tribe week will you be joining, and what would you like to say to the girls who’ll be sharing the experience with you?
I’ll be joining the 4–11 September week!
I honestly can’t wait to meet all of you.
Whether it’s your very first time on a board or you’ve been wingfoiling for years, I’m sure we’re going to have an unforgettable week together. We’ll learn from each other, laugh a lot, spend as much time as possible on the water, and make memories that will last long after the trip is over. See you in Limnos!
